7 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pickup and Kigali city Tour

Our company representative will meet you at the exact agreed point; be it the airport or hotel for briefing and the start of the 7-day adventure. He will explain the acceptable rules governing the destinations, as well as throw light on the different activities you will engage in, before having a Kigali city tour; a drive or walk through one of the cleanest cities in Africa. You will visit the local markets to purchase some trip Items, exchange money for local currency, and then try to bargain with the local traders.

Thereafter, Lunch follows, before spending the evening at the Genocide memorial while watching documentaries and listening to lectures on the 1994 ethnic conflict.  End this day with a yummy dinner meal and a calm sleep at the Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

At daybreak, you will have a tasty cup of coffee at the hotel, before setting off for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park; a smooth drive through a very scenic route, marked by undulating hills, plantations, and crystal clear waters.

You will have an option of an en-route stopover to watch some of the interesting destinations known to the guide, as well as the other for lunch, before proceeding to your lodge for a relaxed evening, followed by dinner and a nap.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk

Today, you will start with an energy-giving cup of coffee at the lodge, followed by an approximately 1-6 trekking experience after briefing and registration. Chimpanzees are humans’ closest relatives, sharing approximately 98% human DNA, accompanied by humans like behaviors and body appearance.

The adventure comes with an array of unique tree plantations, reptiles, and several other primates such as colobus monkeys and grey cheeked monkeys among others. You will have one hour of witnessing the creatures feed, play, and relax, before having a lunch break.

After lunch, you will enjoy a wonderful canopy walk experience at a unique 7-meter tree suspended canopy. It is one kind in Africa, and you get a chance of enjoying the beautiful views of the landscape around the park, primates playing on the treetops, and birds. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for a delicious meal and slumber.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable N/park

Early morning, you will enjoy a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, before checking out for a 5-6 hours’ drive to Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the magnificent Cyanika border post for registration, followed by lunch.

You will cross while seeing the rolling hills, flourishing plantations, and lush plantations, as well as listening to very interesting stories about the gentle apes, the unique country of Uganda, and much more. This day ends at the lodge with dinner and a calm night.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and cultural escapade

After an early morning breakfast meal, you will head for a briefing by the park rangers at the park’s headquarters early in the morning followed by a remarkable track that might last for about 1-8 hours, plus one extra hour of witnessing the gentle apes play, relax, raise their nests or pose for your camera.

This track is not only limited to searching for the gorilla family of your choice but also identifying the unique tree species, other primates, reptiles, and the captivating landscape.

Thereafter, you will return for lunch, followed by an afternoon cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies. The day ends with dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N/park: enroute tree climbing lion safari at Ishasha sector

After a peaceful night, you will wake up for a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a scenic drive to queen Elizabeth national park; a medley of wonders via the famous Ishasha sector, home to the Tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. You will stop at the sector for a 3-4 hours’ lion trekking.

During this period of adventure, chances are that you will spot one or more lions on the tree branches resting on the tree branches, or hunting in the vast Ishasha sector. Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, before proceeding to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and then supper.

Day 7: Morning game drive and departure.

You will have a very early morning game drive in the different territories around the park in search of the early morning risers, and night hunters roaming in the lush savannah grassland. Some of the residents you have to look out for include; lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, and several antelope species; vultures, and birds.

Thereafter, you will have bush breakfast, before returning to the lodge to checkout for a 5-6 hour drive to Entebbe international for your flight, or back to Kigali. Entebbe route means you will have an en-route stop off at the equator to witness the magical demonstrations, have lunch, and enjoy a remarkable photo moment.
