Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Depart from Kigali and do gorilla trekking.
Pick up as early as 5:00am from your hotel by a professional guide from Roots tours. Arrive in time for a briefing at the park headquarters about the do’s and don’ts while trekking the endangered mountain gorillas. After, set off for a hike into the jungles in search of a particular gorilla family that you’ve been assigned to.
Meet with a gorilla family and have a lifetime experience as you see them sleep in the forest nest, wrestle against each other and feed on the forest harvest. Keep memories with the great primates as your take videos and pictures with them, as well as a glance at other forest residents like monkeys, baboons, forest elephants, bird species, etc. After this fantastic activity, drive back to Kigali.
