Get to know more about Rwandan culture, traditions, beliefs, and the ancient ways of life. At this cultural village, take part in local practices such as banana beer brewing, millet grinding on a stone, and cattle rearing.
The village also presents traditional dances and cultural practices from Rwanda’s communities. Afterward, head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Wake up early for breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a short briefing on the rules of gorilla trekking. From there, hike into the forest in search of your assigned gorilla family. Volcanoes National Park has over 10 habituated gorilla families available for trekking.
Have a memorable primate encounter as you watch the gorillas feed, play, chase one another, and rest in the forest.
