Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge – Safari Lodge Near Volcanoes National Park Rwanda

Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge ha 23 self-contained private cottages. Each cottage is decorated with a fireplace for warmth and includes beds, bathrooms, toilets, furniture, a TV screen, and room service. Everything is designed to make your safari stay pleasant.
Activities you can take part in include:
Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking is one of the main activities and should not be missed. These primates behave almost like humans, and scientists have shown that they are closely related to us.
Visitors are reminded to keep the gorilla land clean, avoid spreading diseases, and keep a safe distance from the animals. Trekking is best done in the dry season, when the paths are easier to walk.
During the long rainy season, trekking is harder due to slippery trails, mud, and heavy showers.
Tours to the Twin Lakes (Ruhondo & Burera)
These lakes are located at the base of Mount Muhabura near the border of Rwanda and Uganda, close to Volcanoes National Park. They were formed after volcanic eruptions blocked river channels, forcing River Nyabarongo to change its course.
Guests can enjoy boat rides on the lakes, spotting birds such as the African crowned crane, hadada ibis, weavers, African fish eagle, cormorant, sacred ibis, yellow-billed ducks, and storks. The lakes are surrounded by local communities where you may also experience cultural activities like music, dance, and drama.
Tours to Musanze Caves
The Musanze Caves are home to many bats and are best explored with a guide. Following the guide’s instructions will ensure you enjoy this adventure safely.
Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge is a wonderful place to stay while exploring Rwanda’s natural and cultural attractions.
