Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest
On this day, you will be briefed by our expert driver-guide when the two of you meet, followed by a glass of juice before hitting the road for a 5-6 hours’ scenic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park; home to the endangered mountain gorillas; human’s closest relatives, sharing over 95% DNA and similar behaviors.
The drive is smooth, but with lots of eye-catching sceneries to look out for notably the landscape, infrastructure, the long-horned cows, and scattered homesteads among others. Arrive and straight way head to your lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 2: Morning gorilla trekking and Batwa encounter
Start your day with energy-giving breakfast, before going for registration and briefing at the sector headquarters. The pre-trekking briefing starts at 8:00 am for about 30 minutes with the park rangers explaining to the trackers how to stay in the jungle, as well as allocating members to the different gorilla families of their choice. This is probably your lifetime adventure; running for about 1-6 hours through the thick bushes, and hills, as well as encountering and identifying several primates, tree species, and birds.
When you meet the Gentle Apes, a bonus of one hour is given to you to watch, take photos and ask the different questions. Some of the most unforgettable images here is the appearance of the silverback, the adolescents somersaulting, and the females feeding their infants.

Day 3: Depart Bwindi for Lake Bunyonyi – traditional canoeing experience
At daybreak, you will be served with a tasty breakfast before joining your driver for a 2-3 hours’ scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi; Switzerland of Africa, bilharzia-free and surrounded by over 70 unique bird species and unmatched flora concentration.
A delicious lunch meal and serenity will introduce you to Lake Bunyonyi on arrival, before proceeding for a remarkable canoe experience at the Lake; with the expert guide showing you the different islands and their significance. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for relaxation will listening to the birds’ songs as dinner is organized and a nap finalizing the day.
Day 4: Guided nature walk and departure
Brightening your day with a yummy breakfast is our duty, before having a guided nature walk around this beautiful paradise, surrounded with over 27 unique islands. You will make the best use of your camera and eyes, as you glance at the undulating hills, crystal clear waters and several unique bird species in their haven.
After 1-2 hours of admiration and appreciation of nature, you will return to the lodge to pick your luggage for a 5-6 hours’ drive to the airport for a flight. However, there will be an en-route stopover at the equator to witness the magical demonstration of the crossing point, photography and lunch.
