Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kampala
Pickup from Entebbe international airport by our company representative, who will brief you about this amazing 7 days trip in Uganda. You will be driven to a city hotel where you will have a delicious meal and a sleep over.
Day 2: Boat cruise and night game drive
Have early morning breakfast and take a four-hour drive to Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda. Upon arrival, have lunch and head for an evening boat ride on Lake Mburo.
The boat cruise on Lake Mburo exposes you to the beautiful fauna and flora found around the shores of the lake, and also have a glimpse of resident wildlife such as the crocodiles, hippopotamus, antelopes and zebras that come to quench their thirst from the fresh water lake.
Later on after dinner and head for nocturnal game drive in the savannah plains of Lake Mburo n/park as you witness mammals such as porcupines, hyenas, hares, bush babies, serval cats, etc.
Day 3: Game drive and an optional cultural tour
Take delicious breakfast at the lodge and embark on a day game drive in the park. A diversity of beautiful wildlife will be encountered such as the zebras, leopards, bush pigs, otters and a number of antelopes such as the Impala, eland, waterbucks and bush backs not to forget the bird species and the water dwelling Sitatunga. After return to the lodge for relaxation and chills and you view the lake.
In the evening, join a community guide to take you around the neighboring villages to mix and mingle with the Bahima natives who have lived in this area for generations. Engage in various cultural activities such as milking, traditional milk preservation, gardening, etc.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi
Travel to south western Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park, it’s a 6-hour journey with a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi for lunch and scenic view. This lake is endowed with 29 dotted islands, have pictures as you feel the cool breeze from the lake.
After, proceed to Ruhija sector in the south eastern part of Bwindi national park.
Day 5: Gorilla tracking experience
Wake up for ultimate gorilla tracking experience in Ruhija sector after breakfast; head the park headquarters for a briefing about one’s conduct while tracking these great ape.
One is required to have a valid gorilla permit before the trek. You will trek for a particular gorilla family found in the park and only one hour of face to face interaction with the gorillas will be allowed, as you witness their interesting livelihoods. After a tiresome trek through the jungle, hike back to your camp / lodge for a rest.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N/park after your breakfast at the lodge; upon entering into the park, have a game drive in Ishasha sector for the view of the tree climbing lions.
Drive through the beautiful savannah grassland in search of these elusive lions; also have a glimpse of other beautiful game in this sector, such as elephants, Topis, leopards, buffaloes, etc.
Day 7: Game drive, return to Kampala
This will be the last day of your 7 days trip with a game drive in the park what will expose a variety of wild life such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, leopards and Oribis among others. After drive Kampala via Igongo cultural center in Mbarara for lunch, and continue on a drive to Entebbe airport for departure to your next destination.
