Camping is an exciting way to experience nature near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Visitors can bring their own camping gear or book with the camp, which has inbuilt bandas suitable for camping and providing extra comfort.

In the evenings, campfires are lit to give warmth and create a friendly atmosphere where campers can share stories. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, and snacks are also served to make your stay more enjoyable.

Broadbill Forest Camp is a locally run eco-lodge that offers good service to guests while creating a link between wildlife and the local community. The camp has a restaurant that serves local and international meals prepared with fresh ingredients.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available, and honeymooners can request a special package. A bar is also open with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, though guests are advised to drink responsibly.

Activities at the camp include bicycle tours around the area, where you can see different attractions including monkeys and other wildlife. For safety, carry protective gear such as a helmet, a first aid kit, bottled water, snacks, sunglasses, binoculars, and a camera. Our gorilla trekking packing list covers what to bring for the trek itself.

Facilities include free internet to help you stay connected, mosquito nets in all rooms for comfortable sleep, and security for guests. Guests are advised to seek medical help right away if they show signs of malaria. It also helps to get vaccinations such as yellow fever, malaria, rabies, and typhoid before traveling. You can also take preventive anti-malaria medication as prescribed by your doctor. Our health and vaccination guide covers this in full.

Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover unexpected situations during your gorilla trekking tour. Take time to understand the terms of your policy to avoid disappointment. Booking through a trusted travel agent also helps, since they can arrange the right packages and give you a stress-free gorilla tour.

Book your stay at Broadbill Forest Camp and pair it with one of our Uganda gorilla safari packages to plan your full trip.
